I'll be taking part in this year's Blog Action Day! The whole goal of Blog Action Day is to create a dialogue and promote discussion about the issues that exist in today's world. Blog Action Day isn't about finding any one answer to the problems that are here right now--as the official site says: "Global issues like poverty are extremely complex. There is no simple, clear answer."

This year's theme is poverty, a problem that thousands, if not millions, of people face and struggle with every day. And now, with the economy as weak as it is, it is even more pressing that we deal with this issue NOW. I've heard time and time again, that we have the power to completely eradicate poverty within our lifetimes.

I know that not everyone is going to have something to say on the matter. I'm sure there are even those of you that feel poverty doesn't affect you in the slightest. But please, regardless of whether it is affecting you or not--it is affecting SOMEONE. Speak out so that these people may have a voice on their side.
