It seems so crazy that I hear so many of my friends whining because they are so unhappy with their lives. If you are that unhappy, then change something! If it can't be changed, why waste the energy being unhappy? You're just torturing yourself!

So, for those of you who have yet to become nonpareils, I present to you my bible. Read, if you will, the commandments. Then, if you will, read the following:

| &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts | &hearts

...and there's more where that came from.

Recently, I'm sure you guys have noticed that on Thursdays I've been posting these lists of things that I...well, love. BUT WHY?

Well, I've become quite addicted to this blog called iCiNG which is written by the stunningly vivid (drum roll, please) Gala Darling. It is from her that I have adopted "Things I Love Thursday," or "TiLT," as it is commonly called.

So what is it?

Well, who better to explain it than the source of my inspiration herself?

Ah, bonjour! You’re new to iCiNG, huh? Are you wondering what this is all about?

Well, every week, anyone who wants to participate is welcome to join in on Things I Love Thursday (TiLT for short). What this means is that we make lists of the things that make us smile, make our heart flutter with excitement & make us dance spontaneous jigs in the middle of the street! Then we share them with one another. I think one of the best ways to get excited about your life is to take stock of the things in it which are already magnificent, fabulous & delightful! If you do it regularly, it starts to become a way of thinking — you feel that your life is already full of glory & wonder, rather than lacking. It’s one of the best ways I know to start feeling real happiness.

So, if you’ve never taken part before — or if you’ve just been skipping out on TiLT for a while — make this week the week you start expressing real love & gratitude & appreciation for yourself & your life. You don’t have to do it publicly if you don’t want to, but just give it a try! I think you’ll find it quite wonderful.

If that's not clear enough for you, Ms. Darling also has this to say about TiLT:

♥ "Sometimes my mental image of TiLT is a girl on an exercise bike, pedalling like mad, with little heart-shaped bubbles blowing out behind her."

♥ "If you’re wondering what Things I Love Thursday is about, I’ve learned that expressing your appreciation for things — no matter how small or trivial — makes you feel really good, & helps to propel you forward. It’s good for you, so get on it!"

♥ "Whenever I remember, I like to make lists of things I appreciate. It’s a great thing to do as soon as you get out of bed, because fuelled by all that positive energy, how could you NOT have a good day?!"

♥ "TiLT just gets stronger & stronger! More new people join in & start to experience the glee! One of the coolest things is that TiLT is spreading all across the internet; I read SO many blogs now where they do a regular love list! It’s fantastic! The more happiness you can generate, the better you feel."

What is Things I Love Thursday? It's an idea I've just stolen borrowed from the ever-magnificent Gala (who, in case you haven't figured out, I am completely in love with). The basic idea is best summed up by the originator of the idea herself:

So...on to the list!

This week's Carousel (a sort of compendium of links that she finds quite amusing, useful, or other-wise interesting) was an absolute explosion of delightfulness! Really, I do believe I am falling in love with her. ♥

Most notably, were links to this article in two parts about vacationing in Japan. Handy, yes?

And just a few days ago, she posted this entry--"How to have the Best Holiday Ever." I love the images she used in the article, and she made some very good points that I absolutely had not thought of!

I'm just getting so excited at the prospect that I'll be in Japan in a year. I really feel as if this is going to be an auspicious vacation. I'm getting such good vibes from it. :) It feels good to have something seeming to work out for once. Even if this summer isn't as amazingly epic as I'd like it to be, I find the fact that next year will be even better to be quite comforting.

And to keep you dorks entertained for the night, I present to you Winter Wolf Studio's Master Chief's Day Off....
