I've started posting my fandom stuff to galacticmoxy because my friend thegreatulysses wanted some place to post her stuff and I'd been thinking of getting a separate journal for my stuff, so we decided to get one place together. We...don't really have any fandoms in common and she's quite busy with school so mostly it will be me posting there, but whatever. We do what we want. So that is why all of the links for things will be heading over there instead of my lj.

Also, _samalander is bringing her pretty little butt down here next month. I am beyond excited to show her around and I cannot wait.

Notes: This is a day late, and that is my fault because I decided to make the mix and then not upload it immediately like I usually do. Many apologies to the wonderful skeelojoe, who deserved this on time.

This is a wonderful story, and despite it being an AU the characters are all so true to their canon counterparts I thought I was watching the characters in a game on the holodeck. Because of the setting of the story, I decided to use all instrumental tracks, even if they weren't period pieces, and it proved to be a fun challenge since I'm still such an orch dork years after quitting my violin. The title of the mix comes from "The Dreadnaught," a song I found quite fitting given that the story is based off VOY.

First classictrekbb mix is done! It's another story about tribbles. I think I'm obsessed with them right now.

Notes: The biggest thanks go out to meteorfire who was able to step up to the plate and beta my fic at the absolute last minute. Without her, this fic would not have been posted on time. heeroluva also gets mad props for being so insistent about helping me find one when I was ready to give up, as well as for cheering me on and providing me with wonderful conversation. I also need to thank grimy13 for making sure that this story would be readable and understandable for anyone who wasn't familiar with TOS, TNG, and Q.

Notes: I was so excited when _samalander first mentioned wanting to write this story. I thought it sounded completely amazing and it was definitely something I wanted to read. Following her as she's written it has been such an astounding experience. Sam is one of my best friends, and getting to see just how she works her magic to create such wonderful characters within her story has been such an honor. When she won me in fandom auction, she asked me to make a mix to go along with this story, I unfortunately had to tell her that wouldn't be possible and to pick a different prize--because I had already started to make one for her as a surprise!

This is a mix in two parts. Usually when I make a mix, I take into account the story being told as well as the characters within it, and try to balance the tracks between the two. However, there is just SO MUCH story (and it's all so good!) and such wonderful things happening with the characters, that by the time I had gathered all the tracks, I realized it was way too much to fit in just one mix.

The first "disc," Reasons Not to Fear the Sky, follows the story chronologically. In that way, it serves as a true soundtrack.

The second part, Nine Miles Beyond the Dwelling, is more of an inspired-by, character-driven mix. The title itself refers to Fiddler's Green, the final resting place for sailors.

I chose to use the "Jolly Roger" (aka pirate flag) for the cover because when it was hoisted, that indicated the pirates would be willing to show mercy to their enemy.

I literally gasped with delight when I saw it. I highly recommend reading it and viewing the art as soon as you can.
