Two eons: PRECAMBRIAN and PHANEROZOIC

The eras within the PRECAMBRIAN eon (from oldest to youngest): ARCHEAN and PROTEROZOIC
The periods within the PROTEROZOIC era (from oldest to youngest): EARLY, MIDDLE, LATE, and VENDIAN

The eras within the PHANEROZOIC eon are: PALEOZOIC, MESOZOIC, and CENOZOIC
The periods within the PALEOZOIC era: CAMBRIAN, ORDOVICIAN, SILURIAN, DEVONIAN, MISSISSIPPIAN, PENNSYLVANIAN, and PERMIAN
The periods within the MESOZOIC era: TRIASSIC, JURASSIC, and CRETACEOUS
The periods within the CENOZOIC era: TERTIARY and QUARTERNARY
The epochs within the TERTIARY period: PALEOCENE, EOCENE, OLIGOCENE, MYOCENE, and PLEICENE
The epochs within the QUARTERNARY period: PLEISTOCENE and HOLOCENE


I have spent all day memorizing this. And I still have to memorize at how many millions of years ago all of this happened. AND I need to learn the fucking igneous rocks.

Panic does not even begin to describe my emotion behind this class.
