A little reassurance....
Okay, so I went up to North Harris College today to speak with Rachel Lowe, a counselor there, before signing up for classes. I took up with me a copy of my transcript, SAT and ACT scores, report card, and my TAKS scores. After looking over my scores and such, it turns out that I am eligible to bypass five, maybe six (if I'm willing to take the COMPASS test) math classes, test out of beginning French, and don't need to test in reading/writing.

AND ALL THIS TIME I THOUGHT I WAS SOME KIND OF IDIOT.

Seriously, j0.

I mean it. All of these years spent surrounded by you guys has left me feeling completely brain damaged, and then I walk in there and she's like, "Oh yeah, you're really smart, you can skip straight up to college Calc if you want and they'll want you to skip beginning French since you know that stuff already and you should probably test out of 1301 English."

I mean, WTF?!? All this time I thought I was so stupid, and it turns out I'm some kind of effing savant!!!!

Wow...I feel SO much better about this whole college thing.

...

My mom has her midterm this week for Fingerspelling and Visual/Gestural Communication--wish her uber luck, 'kay?!?!?
