THINK BACK TO 8th GRADE, BUT IF YOU ARE IN 8TH GRADE PLEASE DON'T DO IT. THERE'S NO FUN IN IT THEN.
Let's see how much you remember...
-Who was your best friend(s)?
Ben
-Who did you "go out" with?
No one? Does the summer after count? If so, Austin Something-or-other.
-Did you have a crush on anyone?
Ben. Preston B. Zach. Ben. I was very indecisive.
-What sport did you play?
I was in Math Club. Does that count?
-Did you buy your lunch?
No. I brought my lunch. I think that was the year I had a Dr. Seuss lunch box.
- Did you fail any classes?
Nope!
- Did you skip?
I never skipped class until my senior year of high school. THEN I SKIPPED ALL THE TIME.
- Did you get suspended?
I was in MATH CLUB. What do you think?
- What was your favorite class?
My math elective. YES. I took a MATH ELECTIVE. My current level of badassery was years away at this point.
- What was your school's name?
Atascocita Middle School. I dare you to pronounce that.
- If you could go back would you?
Oh FUCKING HELL NO!
- Where did you sit at lunch?
On the right side. In the middle. Near the wall. I could probably still point out the exact table, actually.
- Was there a smoking lounge?
It was MIDDLE SCHOOL. What do you think?
- Who was your science teacher 8th grade year?
I think it was Ms. Close.
- Who was your English teacher?
Ms. Pennington, I believe.
- Did you think you were cool?
Ummm....no comment.
- School Mascot?
The Tigers.
- Describe your outfits in 8th grade:
OH GAWD. Long bohemian skirts with billowy scarves and giant black combat boots. Accessorized with about forty strands of clunky beads around my neck and loud, metal bangles all the way up my arms. And over-sized t-shirts. You can't forget the ill-fitting shirts. And usually a pony tail or faux-bun with extra fake hair bits clipped in. *SHUDDERS*
- Where did you work?
We are talking about eighth grade, right?????
- Did you even have a cell phone?
No. This was way back when before everyone had one surgically attached to his or her body.
- What's your most memorable moment?
Movies with Ben. We went once a week. During breaks we went two or three, sometimes even four, times a week. One set of parents would drive us up, the other would pick us up. We'd sneak McDonald's or Chik-fil-a in using my giant purse. We'd sit leaning against each other, stealing and sharing food, and make fun of stereotypes. That, or calling each other on the phone to ask what I should make for lunch during breaks and discovering we were eating the same thing. And then we'd end up talking for hours about everything and nothing and anything and sometimes we'd just sit silently slurping our soup. Looking back on it, I think he was my most perfect relationship, and we never even officially dated.
- What action do you regret the most?
Trying to get a bunch of people who didn't think highly of me to accept me. It ruined my year. It ruined a bunch of my years, actually. I would go home everyday and cry and yell at my mom because I felt like nobody liked me. Then I would write angsty poetry in my composition book because I was so DEEP.
- Did you make any lifelong friendships?
I thought Ben and I would be together forever (in a totally platonic way) but I was WRONG. Looking back, I was very dependent on him, and I think it's a good thing we don't see each other anymore because it's forced me to become my own person. I'm stronger in myself now, but it doesn't mean I don't regret loosing touch with him.
- Got invited to any proms?
THERE IS NO PROM IN EIGHTH GRADE. WHO WROTE THIS MEME?
- How many years ago was this for you to remember back to?
Seven?
