I really haven't been keeping up with the Word of the Day.....sorry about that. I wanted to do something different today, something that wasn't a badly written sentence, anyways. This poem was.....not hard, but more work than I'd like to make it a habit of doing at 6:30 in the morning. The rhyme kind of limps along in the last few lines, but I'm not going to complain. It's a wonder how I'm able to get out of bed at all with my allergies the way they are these days. Blegh, now I'm rhyming. DX

Music Showcase today......and managing to run over to MFAH between Astronomy and my call time to pick out some piece for my art review. :\ I'm not looking forward to that....I hate running around like a headless chicken, but I want to try to leave the museum before traffic gets too bad, and today is the only chance I've got to go between now and when it is due.

Yesterday was.....a waste of money. Okay, so not really, because I got some really good deals on stuff I've been wanting/needing, but I still wish I had just curled into a little ball and resisted the urge to go out and shop. I finally bought a mouse for my laptop, as well as a little FM transmitter for my mp3 player. I also got a stupid little musical giraffe for Tiger's baby shower. DX I remember when we were still kids in karate together! And now he's gone and gotten some stupid girl knocked up..... And when I say stupid, I mean mean. And when I say mean, I mean bitch-mean. Ruining both their lives.....not as if this wasn't to be expected with the way his was going though.... :\ Oh, and this is hilarious.....she got pregnant, but couldn't have an abortion because she's Catholic, and it's against her religious beliefs. Well if she is so devout, why is she having premarital sex? I'm cool with people being anti-abortion, everyone's entitled to their own opinions, this is a free country, yadda yadda yadda, but when such bull-shitted hypocrisy is being so casually thrown about, I get really pissed off. I mean, if her religion is so important to her, why was she having sex outside of marriage? I know I'm not that super religious, but the last time I checked, the Catholic Church was against that sort of stuff. Ah, but maybe I'm just uniformed.....clearly fornication is a-okay as long as you keep whatever offspring the union produces. :D Whatev. I want to know what kind of bubble-headed logic that is.... *continues to gripe*

I also got a nice selection of books: Everything Bad is Good for You, The Lorax, The Art of Happiness (by the Dalai Lama!), and The Science of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I think I'm most excited about The Lorax and The Art of Happiness. I've been looking to buy The Lorax for ages, but I can never find it anywhere....and then there it was, just lying at Half Price Books! Can you believe the luck? And then The Art of Happiness....I read an article in Time about the Dalai Lama, and I've been wanting to read something of his ever since, so I'm really pleased. :) BUUUT....these are summer reading books, I can't read them now. I've got too much on my plate with school, work, Script Frenzy will be happening soon......it's just too much. But I can read The Lorax whenever I want after school gets out. :) I LOOOOOOVE that book.

So much I can't touch until I finish out this semester.....My Meta jsk came in and I want to wear that, but can't until May. The books..... Everything is so close, and yet so far away............ *reaches out blindly*

I feel sick. I don't like it. I want to feel better now. And I think I'm hearing voices in my head. O_____O That's really not good. I've got too much to do today, I can't be sick! I'm hoping it's just allergies or whatever. This is a completely pointless entry. I'm really only typing it to kill time. I've got about 45 min. until Pop choir starts and I'm bored. And sick. Blech.
