So I went out last night with Trey. Or Darwin as I call him in my head because that's his real name and regardless of the fact that he hates it, I love it.
But yeah....picked him up from school because he's already up there working and he left his car at home because I am guessing he drove up with Cash. We drove through Humble/Atascocita then headed to Miller Outdoor Theatre/Miller Park and walked around and talked. I was able to finally pet those damn ducks that were there when Sophie and Eve and Priscilla and I went to the Japanese Festival a few years ago. There was also some kind of rodent there that we couldn't remember the name of. We called it a "squirrel-rat" because it had a rat tail but I remembered it had the same kind of diet as a squirrel. Anyone know what I'm talking about? It's brown and shaped kind of like a fat groundhog but it has a long rat tail and it can swim and burrow. Anyone? No...okay moving on.
After that we walked through that flower garden thing by the Museum of Natural Science. I tried to pick a rose but forgot they had thorns, and scratched myself. He picked it for me and was all, "You know roses have thorns btw?" So yeah....it's pink like my room and really pretty and sitting on my kitchen table in a vase waiting for one of my cats to eat it.
Then we went to Prince's and split some fries and a milkshake. Then I took him home (his neighborhood has speed bumps!!!) and then I went home. And that was the end of the night.
It was nice to just do something simple for once. Nowadays, going out is such a hassle. You have to buy this and wait in line for that and blah blah blah. I remember once upon a time when guys and girls would just do simple things like going for a walk and just talking, and I think that that is so much more appealing than all of the complicated "fun" stuff that kids do today.
Oh and it was really nice that he's so open minded because the whole "some people think I'm a lesbian because I'm comfortable enough in my (absolutely straight!) sexuality to do some stuff most girls wouldn't" thing came up and he didn't even bat an eyelash. It blew his mind, however, that I can't swim. Blech....but everyone's like that.
And mommy woke up sick today and so I'm having to take care of her. And I need to do laundry and drop off shit at the dry cleaner's and tell Party City my new working hours for the semester. Bah......I just want to do nothing!!!
Oh...and I need to go grocery shopping.
