So I'm working on (read: procrastinating from working on) my essays for UT in Austin, which is one of my "safety schools". Other places I'm applying to are Schreiner (go Mountaineers!!!), Texas Wesleyan, UT Dallas, and....I think there are others but I can't remember them now... ^.^'

To sum it up, a teenage boy sicced his pit bull on a cat and put it on YouTube. The video is no longer online, but the boy is reported as saying: "I didn't think nothing about it...Any person would have done … with the camera right there..."

There is no way to describe how I feel right now. How can anyone feel so little empathy for a living creature. It doesn't even matter whether he likes cats or not. Who in their right mind would do something so cruel intentionally? He thought it was no big deal. How could he not understand the loss of life that was happening right in front of his eyes?

I just can't talk about it...
