omg, I am SO not used to waking up before seven!!!! TOO EARLY!!!! DX
Let's see, let's see.... I haven't really mentioned anything going on in my life lately, have I? Um.... well, I think the biggest thing is that we got a new coffee pot and it is ridiculously complicated and I cannot figure out how to use it. So... I am just not going to make myself coffee ever again until I move out. Mom can make it. And if she's not home, we have instant coffee left over from the hurricane.
Damn it... how stupid do you have to be to not be able to work a coffee pot? Do they have coffee maker brewing for dummies???
Oh, well I guess there may be something bigger than that.
I decided to post-pone my graduation. It's a relatively new decision, barely a week old, but I'm very pleased with it. I just had to take a serious look at my finances, and I saw that I could not afford to go to Japan and then live on my own. I also could not afford to skip Japan and live on my own. So I'm going to wait a semester to graduate, stay at home (saving money), stay at LSC-North Harris (saving money), and I will still be able to go to Japan but I just have to really watch how I'm spending stuff before and after the trip. But I am going to thoroughly enjoy myself in Japan. That's what once-in-a-lifetime experiences are for, right?
I also realized that I would be able to note-take for disabled students at my school in addition to working at Party City, and that gig pays about $8 an hour. (or maybe just under?? Can't quite recall off the top of my head) So on top of my regular P.C. schedule going to my every day expenses, I plan on putting all that I earn through that into "Japan Fund" and all of my tax return will be going into that as well. I just need to save and save and save. I went on a little shopping spree yesterday and bought about $80 worth of stuff for myself, but that is all I will be buying for a while. I need to tell Nat that I can't do the Anna House order. I had to decide between buying things (note the plural) I could wear now during the winter, as well as the rest of the year, or getting something of the same value that was just one item that I would not get as much use out of.
Oh, and I also got a digital thermometer. :D We have an old mercury one, but I have trouble reading it, especially when I'm sick, so I figured I'd go the extra distance and get a high-tech one.
Oh, my grandmother is coming on Thursday. So...we're decorating like mad, trying to get the Christmas stuff up before she arrives.
