So Anime Matsuri was this weekend and it was................late. Very, very, very late. Everything was running late, even by con standards, so that is pretty bad. Other than that, and the fact that I lost the karaoke room, it was great.

Friday - Sarah's friend Ryan met us at her house, then we drove over to the convention center and parked by the mall. We got there RREAALLLYY early (for me, anyways)....like, about 11 AM? Got our badges quickly, then proceeded to wander about. Spent half the time checking to see if Kammie had arrived yet, since I wasn't sure when she was getting there and I wanted to say hi. Bought some stuff from the Maid Cafe, those girls were cute~ Then we checked out the "Con Survival 101" panel. I think the only people who were actually in that panel were seasoned con goers. XD I donated my candy to the guy running the panel, since his partner ditched him. He gave it out to people who contributed to the discussion. Then we checked out the Opening Ceremonies. I have never been to a con opener before...it was pretty cool. I got to see Vic~ I could tell by the way he was looking--he wanted me. Lord Masamune was there too~ It was an explosion of con hotties XD The only one missing was Travis Willingham. :'[

Then we mostly waited around until the rave.....WHICH SUCKED. It was more of a concert than a rave, and Bespa Kumamero, while good performers, really weren't worth waiting up until 2:00 AM to see. The rave started almost an hour late, and they wouldn't even turn the lights out at first. :[ Really, I think I was just disappointed that I was going to miss the Saturday rave (was it a rave, I wonder?) and Aural Vampire. I have heard such good things about them. After a few minutes, we gave our glow sticks away and went home.

Oh yeah, we went to the karaoke contest. That was....okay. Someone needed to tell those people to eat the mic, though. They all had great voices, from what I could tell, but I could barely hear them! If you're not going to sing loudly, don't do it! You just end up looking like you're clueless, regardless of how good you actually are. That's why I never do karaoke.

Saturday - Got there early for "Anime Speed Dating." Let me tell you--there is a reason those guys are single. Except for the guy in the bathrobe. He was intelligent and good looking, and hooked up with some chic who looked....well, I only saw the back of her head, and she had pretty hair. Lord Masamune was hosting the panel.....with his girlfriend!! D: Some guy ended up asking for my number, and I felt bad telling him that I thought he was kind of dull, so I gave him the number for Domino's, and then realized that that was really mean. But by then he was gone, and I never saw him again to apologize! DDD: Whoever and wherever you are guy, I'm SOOO sorry!

After that, Jaci put on her Domo costume and we walked around taking pictures with people. I got some donuts and coffee and we sat down and bumped into hagarenfangirl. But then I noticed that my coffee cup was leaking and had gotten coffee all over my Innocent World jsk!! ;0; Luckily, the jsk has coffee colors on it, but I was still major-ly bummed. But then the nice concessions lady gave me free donuts, so I perked up. :D Then Jaci got hot and changed. Then we waited in line for the JFashion Revolution fashion show. And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Because omg they were running soooo late. I stayed for only two girls, because I had to run down to the lobby to check on my girls for the meet up, which ended up getting really delayed because some of the models wanted to come. And then the Cheesecake Factory brought us our checks before we got to order cheesecake! That was the whole reason I planned the meet up in the first place, so I could have cheesecake! D: Afterwards, we went to Barnes and Noble to see if they had the US GLB (which they didn't). As we were trying to leave, a couple stopped us and called over about six people to see our clothes. It was so weird! Everyone was dressed so nicely, though, so that's probably why. I felt so out of place, since I was wearing my old worn-out gold flats. My knees had been killing me that day, and I didn't have the gusto to go around in heels. I felt really short and lame!

After that, we went back to the convention center and I went to Sarah's house and got my stuff and left. Apparently, they hadn't started the Cosplay Contest yet, and it was already 10:30!! It was supposed to start by 8, I think. :\ I have no idea what was going up with the people timing these events.

All in all, I had a lot of fun. Sarah and her dad fed me really well, and now I'm completely spoiled by their gourmet cooking. XD She made me the best rosemary potatoes ever!!

I'll upload photos and add more later, though. My brother wants to get on the computer, and I've kind of been monopolizing it trying to get Facebook to upload my photos and then typing up this novel! XD
